OUTREACH SRP 2008

Outreach Storyhour

Theme: Get In The Game, READ!

The Youth Services Department at the Homewood Public Library invited several Daycares or Summer Campers to preschool Storyhour during the month of June 2008 and July 2008. This took place on Wednesday mornings from 10:00 am – 10:45 am at the library. We extended outreach to daycares who could not attend the library for sessions on Tuesday mornings.

Each session lasted 30 to 45 minutes and consists of a variety of stories, songs, games, crafts and videos. Any child who joined our Summer Reading Program earned raffle tickets toward prizes. Also, teachers helped the children to earn raffle tickets by reading books checked out from the Homewood Public Library.

We want to thank the following Daycares for participating in this year's Outreach SRP:

Bright Start

Alpha Campus

Homewood Children Center

Lot of Love Plus

Stepping Stones

Homewood/Flossmoor Park Dist. (The Learning Tree)

The Final Count for Homewood's Outreach SRP= 247

Great job! We're so proud of you!

Ms. Sherry, Youth Librarian
